This system primarily includes primitive religion, totem worship, ancestor veneration, Theravada Buddhism, and Christianity. Interwoven and evolving together, these beliefs constitute the unique spiritual world and cultural traditions of the Bulang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u4e00\u3001\u539f\u59cb\u5b97\u6559\uff1a\u4e07\u7269\u6709\u7075\u7684\u81ea\u7136\u5d07\u62dc<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<ol style=\"list-style-type:upper-roman;\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Primitive Religion: Animistic Worship of Nature<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>\u5e03\u6717\u65cf\u7684\u539f\u59cb\u5b97\u6559\u4fe1\u4ef0\u6839\u690d\u4e8e\u201d\u4e07\u7269\u6709\u7075&#8221;\u7684\u5b87\u5b99\u89c2\uff0c\u8ba4\u4e3a\u81ea\u7136\u754c\u7684\u4e00\u5207\u4e8b\u7269\u90fd\u5177\u6709\u7075\u6027\u3002\u8fd9\u79cd\u4fe1\u4ef0\u4e0e\u5176\u5c71\u5730\u519c\u8015\u7684\u751f\u4ea7\u751f\u6d3b\u65b9\u5f0f\u5bc6\u5207\u76f8\u5173\uff0c\u5f62\u6210\u4e86\u5bf9\u5c71\u795e\u3001\u6811\u795e\u3001\u6c34\u795e\u3001\u706b\u795e\u7b49\u81ea\u7136\u795e\u7075\u7684\u5d07\u62dc\u4f53\u7cfb\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The primitive religion of the Bulang is rooted in an animistic worldview, which holds that everything in nature possesses a spirit. Closely linked to their mountain-based agricultural lifestyle, this belief gave rise to a system of worship involving deities of mountains, trees, water, fire, and other natural forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u5728\u5e03\u6717\u65cf\u7684\u89c2\u5ff5\u4e2d\uff0c\u5c71\u6797\u3001\u6cb3\u6d41\u3001\u65e5\u6708\u661f\u8fb0\u7b49\u81ea\u7136\u73b0\u8c61\u90fd\u7531\u7279\u5b9a\u7684\u795e\u7075\u4e3b\u5bb0\u3002\u4f8b\u5982\uff0c\u201d\u8272\u67b6\u8352&#8221;\uff08\u5c71\u6797\u4e4b\u9b3c\uff09\u3001&#8221;\u677f\u54c8\u62ab\u5929&#8221;\uff08\u5929\u9b3c\uff09\u3001&#8221;\u8272\u67b6\u683c\u4ee3&#8221;\uff08\u5730\u9b3c\uff09\u7b49\uff0c\u90fd\u662f\u5e03\u6717\u65cf\u5d07\u62dc\u7684\u81ea\u7136\u795e\u7075\u3002\u6bcf\u4e2a\u5e03\u6717\u65cf\u6751\u5be8\u90fd\u8bbe\u6709\u795e\u5723\u7684&#8221;\u7ae5\u6797&#8221;\uff0c\u88ab\u89c6\u4e3a\u795e\u7075\u5c45\u6240\u800c\u4e25\u7981\u780d\u4f10\u30021932\u5e74\u7ae0\u52a0\u5be8\u56e0\u780d\u4f10\u7ae5\u6797\u800c\u906d\u9047\u761f\u75ab\u7684\u4f20\u8bf4\uff0c\u751f\u52a8\u4f53\u73b0\u4e86\u8fd9\u79cd\u4fe1\u4ef0\u7684\u7ea6\u675f\u529b\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Bulang cosmology, natural phenomena such as forests, rivers, the sun, the moon, and the stars are ruled by specific spirits. For example, <em>Sejiahuang<\/em>&nbsp;(forest spirit), <em>Banha Pitian<\/em>&nbsp;(sky spirit), and <em>Sejiagede<\/em>&nbsp;(earth spirit) are among the deities revered by the Bulang. Every Bulang village has a sacred grove known as <em>Tonglin<\/em>, considered the dwelling place of spirits and strictly forbidden to be cut down. A local tale tells how the people of Zhangjia village in 1932 suffered a plague after felling their <em>Tonglin<\/em>, vividly reflecting the restrictive power of this belief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u519c\u4e1a\u751f\u4ea7\u4e2d\u7684\u796d\u7940\u6d3b\u52a8\u8d2f\u7a7f\u4ece\u64ad\u79cd\u5230\u6536\u83b7\u7684\u5168\u8fc7\u7a0b\u3002\u5728\u64ad\u79cd\u524d\u8981\u796d&#8221;\u8c37\u9b42&#8221;\uff0c\u6536\u5272\u524d\u8981&#8221;\u5c1d\u65b0&#8221;\uff0c\u4f53\u73b0\u4e86\u5e03\u6717\u65cf\u901a\u8fc7\u5b97\u6559\u4eea\u5f0f\u5bfb\u6c42\u81ea\u7136\u529b\u91cf\u5e87\u62a4\u7684\u751f\u5b58\u667a\u6167\u3002\u706b\u795e\u5d07\u62dc\u5c24\u4e3a\u7a81\u51fa\uff0c\u6bcf\u5e74\u70e7\u5730\u524d\u90fd\u8981\u4e3e\u884c\u796d\u706b\u4eea\u5f0f\uff0c\u7948\u6c42\u706b\u795e\u4e0d\u8981\u8d8a\u754c\u9020\u6210\u707e\u5bb3\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sacrificial activities in agricultural production run through the entire process from sowing to harvest. Before sowing, they offer sacrifices to the &#8220;spirit of the grain&#8221;, and before harvesting, they &#8220;taste the new&#8221;, which reflects the survival wisdom of the Bulang people in seeking the protection of natural forces through religious rituals. The worship of the fire god is particularly prominent. Before the earth is burned every year, a fire worship ceremony is held to pray that the fire God will not cross the boundary and cause disasters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u4e8c\u3001\u56fe\u817e\u5d07\u62dc\uff1a\u7af9\u9f20\u4e0e\u86e4\u87c6\u7684\u4fe1\u4ef0<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>II. Totem Worship: The Beliefs of Bamboo Rats and Toads<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u5e03\u6717\u65cf\u7684\u56fe\u817e\u5d07\u62dc\u4e3b\u8981\u4f53\u73b0\u4e3a\u5bf9\u7af9\u9f20\u548c\u86e4\u87c6\u7684\u7279\u6b8a\u4fe1\u4ef0\uff0c\u8fd9\u4e9b\u5d07\u62dc\u4e0e\u5176\u65e9\u671f\u7684\u72e9\u730e\u91c7\u96c6\u751f\u6d3b\u5bc6\u5207\u76f8\u5173\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The totem worship of the Bulang ethnic group is mainly reflected in their special beliefs about bamboo rats and toads, which are closely related to their early hunting and gathering life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u5728\u897f\u53cc\u7248\u7eb3\u5730\u533a\uff0c\u5e03\u6717\u65cf\u5c06\u7af9\u9f20\u89c6\u4e3a\u7956\u5148\u7075\u9b42\u7684\u5316\u8eab\u3002\u4f20\u7edf\u89c2\u5ff5\u8ba4\u4e3a\uff0c\u770b\u89c1\u7af9\u9f20\u51fa\u6d1e\u662f\u4e0d\u5409\u5229\u7684\uff0c\u5fc5\u987b\u8fdc\u8fdc\u907f\u5f00\u3002\u53ea\u6709\u5728\u7279\u5b9a\u4eea\u5f0f\u4e2d\u6316\u51fa\u7684\u7af9\u9f20\u624d\u80fd\u98df\u7528\u3002\u6bcf\u5e74\u50a3\u5386\u56db\u6708\u548c\u4e5d\u6708\uff0c\u5e03\u6717\u65cf\u8981\u4e3e\u884c\u201d\u5188\u6c38&#8221;\u8282\uff0c\u5168\u5be8\u7537\u5b50\u96c6\u4f53\u6355\u6349\u7af9\u9f20\uff0c\u4e3e\u884c\u9686\u91cd\u7684\u796d\u7940\u4eea\u5f0f\u3002\u6355\u83b7\u7684\u7af9\u9f20\u88ab\u6234\u4e0a\u9c9c\u82b1\uff0c\u7ed5\u5be8\u6e38\u884c\uff0c\u7136\u540e\u5206\u7ed9\u5404\u5bb6\u796d\u7940\u5bb6\u795e\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Xishuangbanna, the bamboo rat is regarded as the embodiment of ancestral spirits. Traditional beliefs hold that encountering a bamboo rat emerging from its hole is an ominous sign, requiring people to avoid it. Only bamboo rats unearthed during special rituals can be eaten. Every April and September in the Dai calendar, the Bulang celebrate the <em>Gang Yong<\/em>&nbsp;Festival, when all men in the village hunt bamboo rats and conduct grand sacrificial rites. The captured animals are adorned with flowers, paraded around the village, and then distributed to families for ancestral offerings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u86e4\u87c6\u5d07\u62dc\u5219\u6e90\u4e8e\u521b\u4e16\u795e\u8bdd\u300a\u5ca9\u6d1b\u535c\u6211\u300b\u3002\u5728\u8fd9\u4e2a\u795e\u8bdd\u4e2d\uff0c\u5e03\u6717\u65cf\u7684\u7956\u5148\u662f\u4e00\u53ea\u534a\u4eba\u534a\u86d9\u7684\u751f\u7269\uff0c\u5b83\u6218\u80dc\u4e86\u5236\u9020\u5e72\u65f1\u7684\u5929\u795e\u201d\u53ed\u4e9a\u5929&#8221;\uff0c\u4e3a\u4eba\u7c7b\u5e26\u6765\u79bd\u517d\u548c\u96e8\u6c34\u3002\u8fd9\u4e2a\u795e\u8bdd\u53cd\u6620\u4e86\u5e03\u6717\u65cf\u5bf9\u52c7\u6562\u6297\u4e89\u7cbe\u795e\u7684\u5d07\u62dc\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The worship of toads originated from the creation myth <em>Yan Luo Bu<\/em><em>&nbsp;W<\/em><em>o<\/em>. In this myth, the ancestor of the Bulang people was a creature that was half human and half frog. It defeated the drought-causing deity <em>Ba<\/em><em>&nbsp;Y<\/em><em>a Tian<\/em>&nbsp;and brought animals and rain to humanity. This myth reflects the Bulang people&#8217;s admiration for the spirit of brave resistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u6b64\u5916\uff0c\u4e0d\u540c\u5730\u533a\u7684\u5e03\u6717\u65cf\u8fd8\u6709\u5176\u4ed6\u56fe\u817e\u4fe1\u4ef0\uff0c\u5982\u65bd\u7538\u5730\u533a\u7684\u9a6c\u5d07\u62dc\u3001\u6f9c\u6ca7\u5730\u533a\u7684\u846b\u82a6\u5d07\u62dc\u7b49\uff0c\u90fd\u4f53\u73b0\u4e86\u5e03\u6717\u65cf\u4e0e\u81ea\u7136\u73af\u5883\u7684\u5bc6\u5207\u5173\u7cfb\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, the Bulang people in different regions have other totem beliefs, such as the horse worship in Shidian area and the gourd worship in Lancang area, all of which reflect the close relationship between the Bulang people and their natural environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u4e09\u3001\u7956\u5148\u4fe1\u4ef0\uff1a\u4ee3\u889c\u4e48\u4e0e\u4ee3\u889c\u90a3<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>III. Ancestor Worship: <em>Daiwame<\/em>&nbsp;and <em>Daiwana<\/em><em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u5e03\u6717\u65cf\u7684\u7956\u5148\u4fe1\u4ef0\u662f\u5176\u539f\u59cb\u5b97\u6559\u7684\u6838\u5fc3\u5185\u5bb9\uff0c\u4e3b\u8981\u8868\u73b0\u4e3a\u5bf9\u201d\u4ee3\u889c\u4e48&#8221;\uff08\u7537\u6027\u7956\u5148\uff09\u548c&#8221;\u4ee3\u889c\u90a3&#8221;\uff08\u5973\u6027\u7956\u5148\uff09\u7684\u5d07\u62dc\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ancestral beliefs of the Bulang people are at the core of their primitive religion, mainly manifested in the worship of <em>Daiwame<\/em>&nbsp;(male ancestors) and <em>Daiwana<\/em>&nbsp;(female ancestors).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u6bcf\u4e2a\u5e03\u6717\u65cf\u5bb6\u65cf\u90fd\u6709\u8c61\u5f81\u7956\u5148\u795e\u7075\u7684\u201d\u80ce\u560e\u6eda\u201d\u2014\u2014\u4e00\u4e2a\u88c5\u6709\u7956\u5148\u9057\u7269\u7684\u8511\u7b50\u3002\u8fd9\u4e9b\u9057\u7269\u5305\u62ec\u526a\u5200\u3001\u9570\u5200\u3001\u77db\u5934\u7b49\u751f\u4ea7\u5de5\u5177\u548c\u751f\u6d3b\u7528\u54c1\uff0c\u88ab\u89c6\u4e3a\u5177\u6709\u9547\u9b54\u9a71\u90aa\u7684\u795e\u529b\u3002&#8221;\u80ce\u560e\u6eda&#8221;\u7531\u5bb6\u65cf\u957f\u4fdd\u7ba1\uff0c\u6bcf\u9022\u8282\u5e86\u6216\u5bb6\u65cf\u91cd\u5927\u4e8b\u4ef6\uff0c\u90fd\u8981\u4e3e\u884c\u796d\u7940\u4eea\u5f0f\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Every Bulang family keeps a <em>Taiga Gun<\/em>\u2014a bamboo basket containing ancestral relics such as scissors, sickles, spearheads, and other tools\u2014which are believed to have apotropaic powers against evil. The family elder safeguards this basket, and rituals are performed during festivals or important family events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u5728\u623f\u5c4b\u5efa\u7b51\u4e2d\uff0c\u5e03\u6717\u65cf\u5c06\u4ee3\u8868\u7537\u6027\u7956\u5148\u7684\u201d\u7ed5\u5ca9&#8221;\u67f1\u548c\u4ee3\u8868\u5973\u6027\u7956\u5148\u7684&#8221;\u7ed5\u5357&#8221;\u67f1\u89c6\u4e3a\u795e\u5723\u6240\u5728\uff0c\u5efa\u623f\u65f6\u5fc5\u987b\u5148\u7acb\u8fd9\u4e24\u6839\u67f1\u5b50\u3002\u65b0\u623f\u843d\u6210\u65f6\uff0c\u8981\u5728\u67f1\u4e0a\u60ac\u6302\u8721\u6761\u3001\u82ad\u8549\u53f6\u7b49\u7269\u54c1\uff0c\u4ee5\u793a\u5bf9\u7956\u5148\u7684\u656c\u5949\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In house construction, the Bulang people regard the &#8220;Rao Yan&#8221; pillar representing their male ancestors and the &#8220;Rao Nan&#8221; pillar representing their female ancestors as sacred places. When a new house is completed, wax strips, banana leaves and other items should be hung on the pillars to show respect for the ancestors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u897f\u53cc\u7248\u7eb3\u7684\u5e03\u6717\u65cf\u8fd8\u666e\u904d\u5d07\u62dc\u4f20\u8bf4\u4e2d\u7684\u8336\u7956&#8221;\u53ed\u5ca9\u51b7&#8221;\uff0c\u5c06\u5176\u89c6\u4e3a\u8336\u53f6\u79cd\u690d\u7684\u59cb\u7956\u3002\u6bcf\u5e74\u90fd\u8981\u4e3e\u884c\u796d\u8336\u7956\u4eea\u5f0f\uff0c\u7948\u6c42\u8336\u53f6\u4e30\u6536\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Bulang of Xishuangbanna still generally worship the legendary Tea Ancestor <em>Bayang Leng<\/em>, regarded as the progenitor of tea cultivation. Annual rituals are held in his honor to ensure good harvests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u56db\u3001\u5357\u4f20\u4e0a\u5ea7\u90e8\u4f5b\u6559\uff1a\u50a3\u65cf\u6587\u5316\u7684\u5f71\u54cd<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>IV. Theravada Buddhism: Influence of the Dai<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u7ea615\u4e16\u7eaa\uff0c\u5357\u4f20\u4e0a\u5ea7\u90e8\u4f5b\u6559\u901a\u8fc7\u50a3\u65cf\u4f20\u5165\u5e03\u6717\u65cf\u5730\u533a\uff0c\u9010\u6e10\u6210\u4e3a\u5e03\u6717\u65cf\u7684\u4e3b\u8981\u5b97\u6559\u4fe1\u4ef0\u4e4b\u4e00\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Around the 15th century, Theravada Buddhism spread to the Bulang through the Dai people and gradually became one of their major religions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u4f5b\u6559\u7684\u4f20\u5165\u4e0e\u50a3\u65cf\u571f\u53f8\u7684\u653f\u6cbb\u7edf\u6cbb\u5bc6\u5207\u76f8\u5173\u3002\u50a3\u65cf\u9886\u4e3b\u4e3a\u52a0\u5f3a\u5bf9\u5e03\u6717\u65cf\u7684\u63a7\u5236\uff0c\u6d3e\u9063\u4f5b\u7237\u8fdb\u5165\u5e03\u6717\u65cf\u5730\u533a\u4f20\u6559\u3002\u521d\u671f\u66fe\u906d\u5230\u539f\u59cb\u5b97\u6559\u4fe1\u4ef0\u8005\u7684\u62b5\u5236\uff0c\u540e\u6765\u901a\u8fc7\u9ad8\u7ea7\u50e7\u4fa3\u201d\u677e\u5217&#8221;\u5e26\u9886\u4f5b\u7237\u4e3a\u5e03\u6717\u65cf&#8221;\u9664\u9b3c&#8221;\u7b49\u65b9\u5f0f\uff0c\u9010\u6e10\u83b7\u5f97\u8ba4\u53ef\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The spread of Buddhism was closely tied to Dai political rule. Dai chieftains sent monks into Bulang areas as part of their governance strategy. Although initially resisted by adherents of the native religion, Buddhism gradually gained acceptance, partly through rituals in which monks helped \u201cexpel spirits\u201d for the Bulang under the leadership of senior monks (<em>Songlie<\/em>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u5e03\u6717\u65cf\u4f5b\u6559\u4fdd\u7559\u4e86\u50a3\u65cf\u4f5b\u6559\u7684\u57fa\u672c\u7279\u5f81\uff0c\u6bcf\u4e2a\u6751\u5be8\u90fd\u5efa\u6709\u4f5b\u5bfa\uff0c\u7537\u5b50\u90fd\u8981\u51fa\u5bb6\u4e3a\u50e7\u4e00\u6bb5\u65f6\u95f4\u3002\u4f5b\u5bfa\u4e0d\u4ec5\u662f\u5b97\u6559\u573a\u6240\uff0c\u4e5f\u662f\u6587\u5316\u6559\u80b2\u4e2d\u5fc3\uff0c\u5e03\u6717\u65cf\u901a\u8fc7\u4f5b\u5bfa\u5b66\u4e60\u50a3\u6587\u548c\u4f5b\u6559\u7ecf\u5178\u3002\u4f5b\u6559\u8282\u65e5\u5982\u6cfc\u6c34\u8282\u3001\u5173\u95e8\u8282\u3001\u5f00\u95e8\u8282\u7b49\uff0c\u4e5f\u6210\u4e3a\u5e03\u6717\u65cf\u7684\u91cd\u8981\u8282\u5e86\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bulang Buddhism retains many features of Dai Buddhism. Every village has a temple, and all men are expected to spend some time as monks. Temples function not only as religious centers but also as places of education, where Bulang people study the Dai script and Buddhist texts. Festivals such as the Water-Splashing Festival, the Closing-the-Door Festival, and the Opening-the-Door Festival have also become important to Bulang culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u503c\u5f97\u6ce8\u610f\u7684\u662f\uff0c\u5e03\u6717\u65cf\u5c06\u4f5b\u6559\u4e0e\u539f\u59cb\u5b97\u6559\u6709\u673a\u7ed3\u5408\u3002\u5728\u4f5b\u6559\u4eea\u5f0f\u4e2d\u4fdd\u7559\u539f\u59cb\u796d\u7940\u5143\u7d20\uff0c\u5982\u6ef4\u6c34\u796d\u7956\uff1b\u4f5b\u6559\u50e7\u4fa3\u6709\u65f6\u4e5f\u53c2\u4e0e\u53eb\u9b42\u7b49\u4f20\u7edf\u4eea\u5f0f\u3002\u8fd9\u79cd\u878d\u5408\u4f53\u73b0\u4e86\u5e03\u6717\u65cf\u6587\u5316\u7684\u5305\u5bb9\u6027\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is worth noting that the Bulang ethnic group has integrated Buddhism with their indigenous practices, retaining the original sacrificial elements in Buddhist rituals, such as the dripping water to honor ancestors.
